Look of the Week 29 June 2027
Look of the Week
Each week, one of our in-store personal shoppers puts together two looks built entirely around things he has been reaching for on the floor — pieces that clicked, combinations that felt right the moment they came together. This week Keeran turns the dial down on contrast and all the way up on restraint: two looks built within a single colour story each, layered through texture and silhouette rather than shade. Both proving, quietly and convincingly, that tonal dressing is the furthest thing from playing it safe — it is dressing with intention.

Three Andam pieces in the same olive-khaki family, lifted by a pistachio jersey and grounded in café suede and brown suedine. Every layer chosen with the one beside it in mind.
In Keeran’s words
“I wanted to see how far you could push one colour before it became a uniform. The answer is further than you might think — as long as you vary the weight and the texture. The blazer is serious and structured. The knit is soft and a little bright. The trousers anchor it all. And then the café boots and the brown bag pull everything into that chocolate-earth territory, which is exactly where I wanted to land. It holds together without looking like a costume.”
— Keeran · Personal Shopper, Boetiek
There is a particular pleasure in a look that does not rely on contrast to hold together. Keeran built this one from within a single colour family — olive, khaki, and a hint of pistachio — then grounded it in chocolate: café suede at the boot, brown suedine at the shoulder, and a warm tortoiseshell lens that closes the circle. Three pieces from Andam, all cut with the same Barcelona precision, all in the same earthy register. The jersey introduces brightness without breaking the mood. The accessories deepen the whole thing without distracting from it. What reads as effortless is, as always, quite precise.
The Blazer — Andam Blazer in Khaki
From Barcelona, Andam designs with a clean, tailored precision — pieces that feel quietly expensive and entirely contemporary. This look is built almost entirely on Andam, all in the same olive-khaki family, with each piece chosen for how well it sits beside the next. The blazer is where it starts.
Andam · Barcelona
R 7,898
A single-button tailored blazer in a deep olive-khaki that means business without trying too hard. The cut is clean and structured — the kind of jacket that makes you stand slightly straighter. Worn here over the matching trouser for a full tonal column, with the pistachio jersey providing the only point of colour difference this look is built around.
The Knit — Andam Jersey in Green
Andam · Barcelona
R 3,899
Pistachio green in a fine, clean knit — the piece that introduces brightness into an otherwise deep-olive look without breaking the tonal story. It reads as fresh and slightly unexpected, but stays firmly within the colour family. The fitted silhouette keeps it clean under the blazer, and it is equally strong worn alone.
The Trouser — Andam Tailored Pants in Khaki
Andam · Barcelona
R 3,698
Wide-leg, high-rise, and impeccably clean — the trouser that makes this a suit look without it being a suit. In the same olive-khaki as the blazer, it creates a floor-length column that elongates and grounds simultaneously. One of the most quietly versatile pieces in the edit, and essential to why the tonal approach works here.
The Boot — Corina Ankle Boot in Café Suede
Corina
R 2,091
A clean ankle silhouette in café suede — the warm chocolate note that shifts this look from pure olive into something earthier and altogether richer. The low block heel and the V-cut side detail keep it modern without leaning into any particular trend. Understated, and exactly right as the first accessory in a look built on restraint.
The Bag — YAYA Jane Suedine Crossbody Bag in Brown
YAYA · Amsterdam
Jane Suedine Crossbody Bag in Brown
R 1,599
A soft crescent silhouette in brown suedine — the bag that pulls the chocolate thread from boot to shoulder and makes it feel deliberate. It sits effortlessly with the warm earth tones of this look, and its relaxed shape keeps everything from tipping into over-dressed. Functional, elegant, and exactly the right size for a full day out.
The Sunglasses — Oscar x Frank Aether in Light Tort
Oscar x Frank · Australia
Aether in Light Tort with Photochromic Lens
R 4,209
A statement shield silhouette in light tortoiseshell with a photochromic lens that adjusts to the light. Bold enough to be noticed, warm enough in tone to belong entirely in this look — the tortoiseshell echoes the chocolate warmth of the boots and bag, completing the tonal circle. Oscar x Frank makes their frames by hand in Australia, and the quality shows.

“Tonal dressing is not playing it safe. It is playing it right.”

A cropped puffer in stone grey over a chalk-white bubble top and wide-leg dark trousers. Cream leopard sneakers, gold huggies, and a dark sculptural lens. Modern ease that has already done its thinking for you.
In Keeran’s words
“This one is all about ease that looks deliberate. The puffer is genuinely warm, but the belted waist and the cropped length stop it feeling heavy. Under it, the balloon hem peeks out — a small detail you catch when the jacket is open, and it adds something unexpected. The whole look is grey on grey on white until the sneaker arrives. And even that is not very loud. It just wakes the look up.”
— Keeran · Personal Shopper, Boetiek
Keeran’s second look begins with a simple question: how do you make a puffer jacket feel like a considered choice? The answer is here. You belt it, you crop it, you pair it with a wide-leg trouser that sits in the same stone-grey family, and you let a chalk-white balloon hem provide the only brightness. From there the accessories carry the look — a cream sneaker with a leopard-print detail that introduces just enough personality, a dark sculptural lens that closes it down, and gold huggies that catch the light without asking for attention. It is a look that reads as effortless because every decision has already been made.
The Jacket — YAYA Oversized Cropped Jacket in Grey
YAYA comes from Amsterdam and designs with a particular quietness — practical in construction, elevated in feeling, and built around the idea that the best pieces work hardest when worn together. Their cropped jacket, arriving with a belted waist and detachable sleeves, is exactly the kind of piece that earns its place in a wardrobe long after the season it was bought for.
YAYA · Amsterdam
Oversized Cropped Jacket with Detachable Sleeves in Grey
R 4,998
An oversized cropped nylon jacket in taupe-grey, with a drawstring waist and detachable sleeves that let you wear it as a vest when the day warms up. The cinched silhouette keeps the volume in check — this is a puffer that holds a shape rather than filling the room. One of the most versatile pieces we have brought in this season, and the anchor of this entire look.
The Top — YAYA Short Sleeve Balloon Top in Chalk White
YAYA · Amsterdam
Short Sleeve Balloon Top in Chalk White
R 1,999
A short-sleeve top with a bubble hem in chalk white — the lightness that lifts an otherwise tonal-grey look. The balloon hem is a small, considered detail that adds movement and unexpected charm, visible at the hem of the jacket when the drawstring is loosened. Comfortable, beautifully cut, and a genuine pleasure to wear.
The Trouser — YAYA Woven Wide Leg Trousers in Dark-Night Grey
YAYA · Amsterdam
Woven Wide Leg Trousers in Dark-Night Grey
R 2,899
Wide-leg trousers with front pintucks in a refined dark-night grey — the foundation of this look and one of the cleanest trouser silhouettes we have seen this season. The elasticated waistband offers real comfort; the pintucks keep it sharp. Together with the jacket, they create a seamless tonal column from waist to floor.
The Sneaker — Victoria Smash Animal Pop in Cream
Victoria · Spain
R 3,298
The moment this look decides it has something to say. A cream sneaker with leopard-print detailing at the heel, gold metallic panelling and a clean V swoosh — designed for people who know that the right sneaker can carry a whole outfit. It brings warmth and personality without disrupting the stone-grey palette above it. The wildcard that makes everything else land.
The Sunglasses — Oscar x Frank Naken in Pearl Black
Oscar x Frank · Australia
Naken Handcrafted Sunglasses in Pearl Black
R 3,953
A sculptural handcrafted shield silhouette in pearl black — Oscar x Frank at their most architectural. The narrow frame and the dark lens read quietly confident in this look, closing down the face with the same understated authority the whole look reaches for. Made by hand in Australia, heirloom quality from the first wear.
The Earrings — JimnoJean Milky Way Huggies
JimnoJean
R 920
Gold huggie earrings set with a constellation of stones — small enough to feel effortless, bright enough to be noticed. JimnoJean’s Milky Way is the finishing detail that brings warmth to a cool-toned look. The gold sits beautifully against the stone greys and the chalk white, and catches the light without asking for it.
