The Boetiek Journal- Keeran's Looks

Off Duty,
Elevated.

Warm Minimalism · Luxury Streetwear · Quiet Statement · Texture Play · Elevated Utility · Editorial Style

Each week, one of our in-store stylists puts together two looks they have been reaching for on the floor — combinations that just click. This week it is Keeran’s turn. Two looks built around a shared idea: that off-duty dressing, when done with intention, can carry the same editorial energy as anything more formal. Considered. Elevated. Quietly luxurious.

Keeran

Keeran is one of our styling consultants — four years deep into premium styling and known for an eye that is polished, modern, and quietly feminine. His personal aesthetic is built on clean lines, timeless pieces, and great tailoring, and his approach with clients begins not with the rail but with the question of how she wants to feel. From there he builds around body shape, lifestyle, and personality — arriving at looks that are flattering, elevated, and true to the woman wearing them. What he loves most about the work is straightforward: helping people walk out feeling confident, comfortable, and like the best version of themselves.

Look One · City Code
Look One City Code — ANDAM Studded Jacket with Gordon Smith white shirt, ANDAM black maxi skirt and Any Di red phone bag styled by Keeran at Boetiek Cape Town

Styled by Keeran

City Code.

A clean white shirt and a softer, sporty maxi skirt, anchored by a studded leather jacket and lifted by a single red focal point. Everyday pieces, styled in a more elevated way. Off-duty dressing with editorial energy.

In Keeran’s words

“This look started with the idea of taking everyday pieces and styling them in a more elevated way. I wanted the white shirt to feel clean and polished but paired back with a softer sporty element through the nylon volume skirt. The studded leather jacket gives structure and edge while the red phone pouch becomes the focal point and creates tension in the outfit. The accessories were kept intentional — ballet-inspired lace ups, glossy skin and statement sunglasses to make the look feel luxurious rather than street. Overall the mood is effortless but considered.”

— Keeran · Styling Consultant, Boetiek

There is a particular discipline in styling everyday pieces so they read as considered rather than convenient — and Keeran’s instinct for it is what makes this look land. The base is restrained: a crisp tailored shirt, a maxi skirt with quiet volume. The studded leather jacket gives the look structure without taking over. And then the red — that single, deliberate flash of colour at the hip — is what shifts the whole composition from neutral to editorial. The accessories were chosen to support that tension, not compete with it.

The Jacket — ANDAM Studded Jacket in Black

ANDAM, from Barcelona, joined Boetiek for Autumn 2026 — a brand built on clean tailoring, considered hardware, and the kind of restrained edge that feels right for the season ahead. The Studded Jacket is exactly that intent in one piece.

Studded Jacket in Black

R 8,499

The piece that gives this look its structure and its edge. Cropped, sharply cut, and studded with restraint — the kind of detail that reads as craft rather than statement. Worn over the white shirt and maxi skirt, it sets the tone for the whole look: considered, a little tougher than expected, and unmistakably elevated. The jacket that earns its place at the front of the rail.

The Shirt — Gordon Smith Emma Rib Shirt in White

Gordon Smith · Sydney

Emma Rib Shirt in White

R 1,998

Clean, tailored, and quietly precise — the Emma reads as the wardrobe basic that earns rather than asks for its place. Subtle rib detail at the placket lifts it just enough. Beneath the studded jacket it sits crisp and considered, with the collar finished open for that touch of ease. The white shirt that does not need to try.

The Skirt — ANDAM Maxi Skirt in Black

Skirt in Black

R 3,899

A nylon-volume maxi with the quiet authority of tailoring and the ease of something more sporty — which is precisely the contradiction this look needed. It moves beautifully against the structure of the jacket above and the softness of the suede flats below. The kind of skirt that anchors a look without ever feeling heavy.

Five accessories chosen with intention — the red phone bag as deliberate focal point, the cap and the sunglasses to elevate the silhouette, the brogues to soften it, and the studs to finish.

The Any Di Phone Strap Set in Red Leather is the deliberate flash of colour the whole look is built around — worn crossbody, it sits against the studded jacket as a single focal point rather than a competing accessory. The YAYA Bouclé Cap in Blush Pink introduces a soft texture and a quiet warmth at the top of the silhouette — a modern, unexpected lift. The Thierry Lasry Baddy sunglasses bring sculptural sophistication; the Corina Lace Up Ballet Flat in Coffee Suede grounds the look with a ballet-inspired softness; and the JimnoJean Regal Studs finish at the ear — small, considered, exactly right.

“This look is about embracing statement pieces in a quieter way. Soft glamour for everyday dressing.”
Look Two · Warm Rebellion
Look Two Warm Rebellion — Brave + True New York Coat with Gordon Smith red cable knit, Shiraz cord pants and gold Victoria sneakers styled by Keeran at Boetiek Cape Town

Styled by Keeran

Warm
Rebellion.

Texture and warmth, kept refined. A cable knit and cord create richness through tone rather than print; the faux fur coat brings drama and movement. Confident, relaxed, and luxurious but wearable.

In Keeran’s words

“For the second look I wanted to explore texture and warmth while still keeping the styling refined. The cable knit and cord create richness through tone rather than print, while the statement faux fur coat adds drama and movement. The accessories were softened with delicate jewellery and modern eyewear so the look didn’t become costume. The result feels confident and relaxed — luxurious but wearable.”

— Keeran · Styling Consultant, Boetiek

Where the first look was built on a single sharp focal point, this one is built on tone. Keeran works in red on red: a deep, saturated cable knit against the warmer wine of Shiraz cords. There is no pattern doing the work — the richness comes from texture alone. The faux fur coat sits over the top with movement and presence, but its cream and brown markings keep the whole composition warm rather than loud. The final move — gold glitter sneakers in place of something more obvious — is what tilts the look from luxurious to lived-in.

The Coat — Brave + True New York Coat in Cow Print

Brave + True, from Australia, makes outerwear that feels luxurious without performing it. The New York Coat — long, plush, and unapologetically textured — is the piece that gives this look its drama, while the warm cream and cow markings keep it rooted in the season’s tonal palette.

New York Coat in Cow Print

R 3,999.70

A floor-grazing faux fur with movement, warmth and quiet drama — everything a statement coat should be without ever tipping into costume. The cow-print markings in soft brown against cream keep it tonal rather than loud, which is exactly why it sits so well over the deep reds beneath. Worn open and easy on Keeran’s second look, it does the entire job of elevation on its own. Also available in Taupe Fleck.

The Knit — Gordon Smith Harmony Cable Jumper in Red

Harmony Cable Jumper in Red

R 2,599

A traditional cable knit in a saturated, contemporary red — the piece that gives Look Two its temperature. The cable texture does the talking, which is exactly the point: richness through craft, not print. Easy under a coat, easier over jeans on its own. Also available in Cobalt.

The Cords — Gordon Smith Avenue Cord Pants in Shiraz

Gordon Smith Avenue Cord Pants at Boetiek Cape Town

Avenue Cord Pants in Shiraz

R 2,599

Soft, brushed cord with a clean straight leg and a wine-rich Shiraz tone that grounds the entire look. Against the red of the knit it builds depth without resorting to print; against the cream of the coat it brings warmth without overwhelming it. The piece that proves tonal dressing has more range than people give it credit for. Also available in Navy.

Three pieces to soften and modernise — delicate jewellery to keep the look from becoming costume, modern eyewear to anchor it, and a sneaker that lifts the whole look out of expected territory.

The Oscar x Frank Provenza Sunglasses in Rose Gold give the look its modern eyewear — warm in tone, oval in shape, considered enough to keep the faux fur from tipping into theatre. The JimnoJean Peaches & Cream Studs are exactly the delicate finish Keeran was after at the ear: small, soft, and warm against the deep reds beneath. And the Victoria Shoes Rush Glam Sneaker in Gold is the unexpected closer — a glittered sneaker in place of a more obvious boot, which is precisely what makes the whole look feel relaxed rather than rehearsed.

Come In and Find Your Look

Both looks are on the floor now at 79 Kloof Street, Gardens, Cape Town — and every piece is available online with nationwide delivery across South Africa. Keeran and the rest of our team are in-store Monday to Saturday. If you want help putting either look together, or building something entirely your own, just come in. The conversation starts there.

A note from Keeran: the best off-duty dressing is the kind that feels considered without ever feeling effortful. One quiet focal point. Tone over print. Texture as luxury. Choose pieces that flatter you, then style them in a way that feels true. That is where elevation actually lives.
