Look of the Week — Lucretia Styles the Season
Look of the Week
Each week, one of our in-store stylists puts together two looks they genuinely love — pieces they have been reaching for on the floor, combinations that just clicked. This week it is Lucretia's turn. Two looks, one through-line: dressing that feels considered without being complicated.

The Coat
That Does
All the Work
A faux fur stripe coat over an all-black base. One piece leads, everything else follows. This is the kind of dressing Lucretia does instinctively — effortless, warm, and entirely put-together.
In Lucretia's words
"I wanted something that felt polished without looking like you tried too hard. The Jungle Coat does that effortlessly — it's warm, it's luxurious, but it's also just really fun to wear. I kept everything underneath very clean and dark so the coat could do exactly what it wants to do."
— Lucretia Goslett · Styling Consultant, Boetiek
There is a particular ease that comes with knowing exactly which piece to reach for. Lucretia built this look around the Brave + True Jungle Coat — and once you see it on, the logic is obvious. A strong outerwear piece anchored by a clean all-black base. The coat carries the whole story. The rest just gives it room to breathe.
The Coat — Brave + True Jungle Coat in Grey Stripe
Designed in Australia for the woman who dresses with intention. Brave + True makes pieces that feel effortlessly cool — and the Jungle Coat might be the best thing they have done yet.
Brave + True · Australia
Jungle Coat in Grey Stripe
R 4,000
Soft, substantial, and unmistakably confident. This long faux fur coat in a tonal grey stripe drapes beautifully and keeps you genuinely warm without ever looking like warmth was the priority. The horizontal stripe detail lifts it well beyond your average textured coat. Limited stock — this is the one people will ask you about.

YAYA · Amsterdam
Mesh Top with Removable Collar in Black
R 1,700
The removable collar is the kind of detail that makes getting dressed feel interesting again. Worn here peeking out beneath the Jungle Coat for a neat, considered finish — in black it disappears into the base of the look, which is exactly what a great supporting piece should do. Also available in Fudge Purple if you want the top to lead.

YAYA · Amsterdam
Jersey Scuba Straight Fit Trousers in Black
R 3,299
The trousers that make everything else look more expensive. Scuba jersey with a clean straight fit — they hold their shape through a full day without needing attention. Worn here as part of the all-black base, they anchor the look and let the coat own the moment entirely. Pair them with anything. They will always be right.

"When the coat is this good, the rest of the outfit is really just giving it room to breathe."

Day Coat.
Sequin Skirt.
Done.
A long suedine coat over a champagne sequin skirt and a chalk knit. The contrast that makes the look — structured outerwear against something that catches the light. Lucretia's instinct for balance, right here.
In Lucretia's words
"This one surprised me a little — I wouldn't have put a sequin skirt with a suedine coat on paper, but on the body it just works. The coat grounds it completely. You get all the glamour without it feeling like too much. That balance is what I was after."
— Lucretia Goslett · Styling Consultant, Boetiek
This is the kind of combination that looks considered — because it is. Lucretia's second look plays with contrast in exactly the right way: a long, structured suedine coat that lends gravitas and cool, worn open over a champagne sequin skirt that catches everything. A simple chalk knit ties the two together without competing with either. The result is a look that works for an evening out without any of the effort that usually implies.
The Coat — YAYA Long Oversized Suedine Coat in Deep Brown
YAYA's long suedine coat has been one of the most reached-for pieces on the floor since it arrived. The kind of coat that changes how an outfit reads — not louder, just more deliberate.
YAYA · Amsterdam
Long Length Oversized Suedine Coat in Deep Brown
R 5,998
Floor-grazing, oversized, and impossibly easy to wear. This suedine coat in deep brown sits somewhere between a trench and a duster — structured enough to anchor a look, relaxed enough to feel effortless. The kind of investment piece that becomes a wardrobe anchor. Wear it over absolutely everything.
Shop the CoatThe Skirt — Brave + True Ritz Skirt in Champagne
Brave + True · Australia
Ritz Skirt in Champagne Sequin
R 2,898
The skirt that turns a casual combination into a full moment. All-over champagne sequin in a fluid midi-length cut — it moves beautifully and catches light in a way that feels glamorous rather than overdone. Worn here under the YAYA suedine coat, it brings warmth and luminosity to the look. Also available in black for something darker.
Shop the SkirtThe Knit — YAYA Light Structured Knitted Top in Chalk
YAYA · Amsterdam
Light Structured Knitted Top in Chalk
R 2,399
The piece that holds the look together without announcing itself. A lightly structured knit in chalk — clean, warm, and versatile enough that it belongs in almost every combination you could build. Against the champagne sequin of the Ritz Skirt, the chalk reads as entirely intentional. A quiet hero of a piece.
