Look of the Week — Boetiek

The Edit

Look of the Week

Cape Town · Kloof Street

Three ways we are dressing this week, styled from the shop floor to the street. Each look is finished, credited and ready to shop.

I
Dani wearing Look 1, Soft Winter Layers, an off-white textured coat over a cloud grey knit and burgundy corduroy trousers

Winter Layering  ·  Soft Neutrals  ·  Rich Colour Accents

Soft Winter Layers

Winter dressing, softened.

An off-white coat and a cloud grey knit build a clean, considered base, while a deep burgundy trouser brings in the richer tone the season asks for. The wide leg keeps everything relaxed, the longer coat adds the drama, and the whole look stays cosy without ever tipping into casual.

As Worn

Dani is wearing the Textured Coat in Off-White by Smashed Lemon, the Rib Jersey in Cloud Grey by YAYA and the Corduroy Pants in Burgundy, also by Smashed Lemon.

II
Dani wearing Look 2, Colour Pop Casual, a charcoal cable knit turtleneck with electric blue trousers

Colour Blocking  ·  Knitwear  ·  Modern Casual

Colour Pop Casual

Denim lends itself to instinctive styling.

A charcoal cable knit keeps the top half understated and lets an electric blue trouser do the talking. Scandinavian in its restraint and playful in its colour, this is an easy way to bring something bold into a winter wardrobe without ever making the look feel busy.

As Worn

Dani is wearing the Turtle Neck Jersey with Cable in Dark Taupe Grey Melange by YAYA and the Sonny Jean in Bleu by La Petite Étoile.

III
Dani wearing Look 3, Classic with a Twist, a charcoal long coat, black trousers and a mustard v-neck knit

Preppy  ·  Tailoring  ·  Warm Colour Accents

Classic with a Twist

There is something quietly academic about a well cut coat.

Charcoal outerwear and a black trouser build a classic foundation, while a mustard V-neck knit brings warmth and a little personality into the mix. The V-neck breaks up the darker layers and gives the whole look some dimension, preppy at heart but kept polished and contemporary by the longer coat.

As Worn

Dani is wearing the Julianne Coat in Charcoal by Brave & True, the V-Neck Jersey in Yellow by ANDAM and the Ultra Pulp Bootcut Jeans in Black N°0 by Le Temps des Cerises.
