Look of the Week
Each week, one of our in-store personal shoppers puts together two looks they genuinely love — pieces they have been reaching for on the floor, combinations that just clicked. This week Lucretia is back, and she has gone somewhere warmer for the cold: two looks built on rich neutrals, soft texture, and the kind of quiet shine that suits a Cape Town winter.

Denim,
Quietly
Dressed Up
A camel suede jacket over a champagne sequin top and a clean dark denim. Daytime ease with just enough shine — the kind of look Lucretia builds when she wants jeans to feel like an occasion.
In Lucretia’s words
“I love a sequin in the daytime — you just have to ground it. The camel suede does that here. It keeps the sparkle feeling easy rather than dressy, and the dark denim pulls the whole thing back down to earth. It is a look you could wear to lunch and still feel pulled-together by evening.”
— Lucretia Goslett · Personal Shopper, Boetiek
There is a particular satisfaction in making something glamorous feel completely wearable. Lucretia built this look around two ideas that should not work as easily as they do — a champagne sequin top and a soft camel suede jacket — then let a straight dark denim do the grounding. The result reads as warm, considered, and entirely daytime, with the shine doing just enough.
The Jacket — Andam Structured Jacket in Camel
From Barcelona, Andam designs with a clean, tailored sensibility — pieces that feel modern and quietly luxurious. This camel jacket is exactly the sort of layer that lifts everything you put it over.
Andam · Barcelona
R 5,499
A warm camel tone and a soft suede-effect finish make this the kind of jacket you reach for without thinking. Structured enough to hold a look together, relaxed enough to throw over denim — it adds depth and sophistication to whatever sits beneath it. The anchor of this entire look.
The Top — Brave + True Glimmer Top in Champagne
Brave + True · Australia
Glimmer Top in Sequin — Champagne
R 2,300
An all-over sequin top designed, in the brand’s own words, for every day, every night and everywhere. In champagne it reads soft and warm rather than loud — the perfect amount of shine to wear under a jacket by day, and on its own when the evening calls for it. Also available in black.
The Denim — YAYA High Waist Wide Denim in Dark Blue
YAYA · Amsterdam
High Waist Loose Fit Wide Denim with Tape
R 3,499
A high waist, a loose wide leg, and a deep, clean dark-blue wash — the denim that makes everything above it look more considered. Here it does the grounding, holding all that champagne shine firmly in daytime territory. A modern wardrobe essential you will wear far beyond this look.
Look One · The Edit

“Glamour is so much easier to wear when you ground it in something everyday. Sequins and denim — that is the whole trick.”

Check,
Knit &
Charcoal
A pied-de-poule blazer over an olive knit, a crisp white shirt, and a charcoal herringbone mini. Tonal, textured, and tailored, with a lighter, younger spirit — the kind of look that carries from winter into the first warmer days with ease.
In Lucretia’s words
“I wanted to build something warm out of neutrals that are not just black. The check blazer has all these browns and soft tones in it, so I pulled an olive knit and a charcoal skirt to sit alongside it. The white shirt underneath keeps it sharp. It feels like winter, but it is not heavy.”
— Lucretia Goslett · Personal Shopper, Boetiek
Lucretia’s second look is a study in tonal layering. A pied-de-poule blazer leads, its woven browns and soft check setting the palette for everything else — an olive knit, a collared white shirt peeking out beneath, and a structured charcoal herringbone mini. Nothing shouts; every piece supports the next. It is the kind of outfit that looks effortless precisely because each layer was chosen with the others in mind. There is a youthful ease to it, too — the shorter hemline, the trainers, the unforced way it all comes together — that makes it especially lovely on a younger woman, or on anyone who likes her tailoring worn a little undone. And as the days begin to soften, it becomes a natural transitional look: the blazer for a cool Kloof Street morning, the mini and sneakers for an afternoon that no longer asks for a coat.
The Blazer — La Petit Étoile Vaness Blazer in Pied-de-Poule
La Petit Étoile brings classic Parisian tailoring to the modern wardrobe. The Vaness blazer, cut in a refined pied-de-poule wool blend, is the piece this entire look is built around.
La Petit Étoile · Paris
Vaness Blazer in Pied-de-Poule
R 5,799
Classic Parisian tailoring in a refined pied-de-poule wool blend, with soft browns running through the check. It is timeless and quietly feminine — the kind of blazer that sets the tone for a whole outfit and then quietly elevates everything you wear it with afterwards.
The Knit — YAYA Sleeveless Knit Sweater in Capers Melange
YAYA · Amsterdam
Sleeveless Knit Sweater in Capers Melange
R 2,399
A soft capers melange — that warm olive-brown — in a clean sleeveless knit with a collar. It is the perfect middle layer: enough texture and depth to feel intentional under the blazer, light enough that the look never tips into bulk. A quiet, versatile hero.
The Shirt — YAYA Long Shirt with Removable Collar in Pure White
YAYA · Amsterdam
Long Shirt with Removable Collar in Pure White
R 2,799
Crisp pure white with a removable collar — the detail that keeps this layered look sharp. Worn under the knit, its collar and cuffs peek out to draw the whole outfit together. Clean, modern, and endlessly useful far beyond this single combination.
The Skirt — Smashed Lemon Mini Skirt in Charcoal Herringbone
Smashed Lemon
Mini Skirt in Charcoal Herringbone
R 1,799
A structured charcoal herringbone mini that brings a touch of office-ready polish to the look. The herringbone weave echoes the check of the blazer without matching it — texture answering texture. Easy to wear, and exactly the right anchor for the tonal layers above.
Look Two · The Edit
