About Boetiek
Boetiek is a curated women’s fashion and lifestyle boutique at 79 Kloof Street, Cape Town. We bring together carefully chosen international brands from France, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and Australia, alongside local art and lifestyle pieces. Every piece is chosen with a capsule-wardrobe philosophy in mind: timeless design, beautiful fabrics and pieces that work hard in a woman’s wardrobe.
We are a small, close-knit team, and our clients come to us for a luxury experience: personal attention, honest styling advice and the feeling of being truly looked after. We also offer complimentary personal styling appointments, so our team members are stylists as much as sales consultants.
The role
- Welcome every client warmly and give personal, honest styling advice
- Assist with fittings and personal styling appointments
- Build lasting relationships with our clients
- Process sales on our point-of-sale system
- Keep the boutique beautifully merchandised, clean and well stocked
- Work towards individual and store sales targets
- Share in a monthly team incentive scheme
Minimum requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- South African citizen, or a valid South African work visa
- At least 2 years’ retail experience in a luxury clothing environment
- Able to travel reliably to Kloof Street and always arrive on time
- Able to work weekends, including Sundays
- Able to climb two flights of stairs easily, several times a day
- Available to start as soon as possible, and by 10 November at the latest

Full-priced items may be returned for exchange or store credit within 7 days of purchase, provided that:
- The item is unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
- All original tags are attached
- Proof of purchase is provided
Discounted or sale items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances.
Refunds, Reversals & Store Credit
South African Card Holders
- Refunds (including card reversals or EFT payments) are only applicable for items that are returned within 7 days and that are undamaged and not faulty.
- Such items must be returned and presented within 7 days of purchase to qualify.
- Approved refunds will be processed:
- Back onto the original card used for purchase, or
- Via EFT
For all other returns, a store credit will be issued. No refunds or reversals will apply.
International Card Purchases
- Refunds via bank transfer or card reversal are not available
- Returns will be issued as store credit only
- If a store credit cannot reasonably be used, a cash refund may be considered in exceptional cases, subject to management approval
- A 15% processing fee will be applied to any approved cash refund
- All requests must be made within 7 days of purchase
In-Store Purchases
Returns and exchanges must be completed in-store within 7 days of purchase.
Online Orders
Return requests must be submitted within 5 days of delivery in order for item to arrive back in store reliably within 7 days.
Return courier costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed in exceptional circumstances.
The store needs to be contacted prior to return courier and once approved, items must be returned to Boetiek promptly.
Condition of Returns
All items are inspected upon return. Boetiek reserves the right to decline any return that does not meet the above requirements.
